会议/颁奖
雨果奖（The Hugo Awards）设立于1953年，1993年为纪念“科幻杂志之父”雨果·根斯巴克（Hugo Gernsback）而正式得此命名。自1955年起，雨果奖每年由世界科幻协会（The World Science Fiction Society，简称WSFS）在世界科幻大会（The World Science Fiction Convention，简称WSFC）上颁发，是科幻文学领域国际最高奖项，被誉为“科幻文学界的诺贝尔奖”。
2023成都世界科幻大会雨果奖评选中设置了包括“最佳长篇小说”在内的17类奖项。本届雨果奖提名自2月28日正式启动，持续至5月1日截止。7月6日，备受瞩目的2023雨果奖入围名单正式揭晓。最终的获奖名单于2023年10月21日在成都举办的第81届世界科幻大会上正式揭晓，这也是雨果奖首次在中国揭晓和颁奖。
中国作家海漄凭借《时空画师》获得最佳短中篇小说奖。最佳短篇小说奖由《兔子测试》获得，最佳长中篇小说奖由《溺水女孩之谜》获得，最佳长篇小说奖由《荨麻和骨头》获得。
